Salaam Namaste is a 2005 Hindi-language Indian film directed by Dibakar Banerjee and scripted by his mentor, Jahnu Barua. It chronicles the journey of two Muslim boys from the northern Indian city of Lucknow who move to New York City and struggle with identity, education, love, work and culture shock.
